For as long as I can remember, I have loved making all kinds of crafts and being creative!  I started making scrapbooks for friends and family while in high school and college for birthdays and special occasions.  Then beginning in 2005, nearly a dozen of my friends got engaged so my work began in earnest and I picked up the talent for creating slideshows, as well.  At this point I was spending as much time working on these projects as my teaching job, so I launched my first online business:  Ashley’s Pages (www.ashleyspages.com).  I have always enjoyed designing these custom scrapbooks and slideshows because no two are alike and my main challenge is to capture the true spirit and personality of the recipient or occasion.  It is always difficult to edit hundreds of pictures to find the few that truly represent the person or memory and then arranging their “story”  in a visually attractive way, and that is the best part of it for me! 

In 2007 I decided to expand my services because so many of my clients were asking me for referrals for wedding, sorority, baby and children’s personalized gifts.  So, I have developed a new company name, The Polkadot Alley, which isn’t limited to one area of expertise.  Basically, I can do anything you request: embroidery, printing, monogramming, painting--totally customized to your preferences including fabric, color, style, font, theme and much, much more!  There are so many categories and products to choose from such as stationery, linens, holiday decor, robes, baby items, tote & cosmetic bags, nursery decor among lots of other items!
